Questions & Answers

What is Terra Trophy?

Terra Trophy is an Endurance Rally that is catered to the offroad & Overland community. This rally is a 4WD based rally that takes drivers hundreds of miles through some of the hardest terrain the southeast has to offer

How hard is the Rally?

The rally will feature all types of terrain for larger river rocks, to slick hill climbs, deep water, unforgiving mud and more. Both classes will experience "technical" terrain. Except trails to be around a 5-8 on the 1-10 scale. This is NOT a rally for those without offroad experience on harder trails.

Does my truck have to be street legal?

Yes, your truck will be required to have a minimum of legal insurance for the state of Alabama and Tennessee and registration for your state. You will also be required to show your legal driver's license at check-in.

Can I compete in a SXS?

No, this rally is only open to full size vehicles. No SXS, ATV, or motorcycles are allowed for this rally.

How many people can ride?

You are allowed as many passengers as you have seats with seat belts. All additional riders outside of the driver will be required to pay park passes and sign the waiver at the time of entry.

Can I drive as fast as I want?

Yes and no. All competitors are required to follow all road laws and rules of offroad parks. We will review GPX tracks at the finish. Drivers will be subject to penalties for excessive speeding on public roads. Remember, it is not a race, it's an endurance rally!

Where do we camp during the rally?

Due to the rally being multiple days over 300 miles, drivers will be required to camp on the trails during the rally. While there are many places to camp, you may have to search for a camp location on some trails.

Where does the rally go?

The rally will start at Adventure Offroad Park in Tennessee. From here, drivers will choose how they wish to run the rally to check off all of the trails. This will include trails around Chattanooga, TN and head down into Alabama. The rally will include trails, public paved and dirt roads, forest service roads, and offroad parks.

How many people can be on a team?

All teams are required to have a minimum of 3 vehicles. You can have up to 6 total vehicles on your team with no limit to the number of passengers.

Do all rigs on a team have to be on the same size tires?

All teams will be required to have the same tire size for the class. This means all trucks must have 37's or small OR 38's and larger. Small tire trucks can run up a class, but large tires can NOT run down a class.

Do I have to record the entire rally?

Yes, all drivers (solo or teams) will be required to record a GPX file of the full rally. This includes all required trails AND time on pavement and back roads. You will only be considered a finisher of the rally if you have recorded all days and completed all required trails.

Do I have to follow the GPX files exactly as listed?

All GPX files will include the suggested route we took for the rally as well as checkpoint. You will not be required to follow the GPX route exactly, but you will be required to pass thru each checkpoint listed within 25 feet. All recorded files will be checked for accuracy.

Do I have to compete to drive in the rally?

This rally is a "drive at your own pace" event. This means you do not have to drive fast or dangerously to be apart of the event. While some are shooting for a win, many drivers will be shooting just to finish.

What if I do not finish in the allowed time?

While everyone wants to finish many will never see the checkered flags. This is designed to be the hardest offroad rally and we do not expect all teams to cross the line. If you do not make it back in time, don't worry! It is part of the fun and we will have a big party waiting for you when you get back!

Can I drive a 4WD truck in the prerunner rally?
